This functionality will automatically back up the physician’s patient schedule in advance along with the patient’s chart (CCR- Continuity Care Record). In the event of unexpected downtime, this capability will enable the practice to download their future schedule and patient charts to view it through SequelMed’s Offline Viewer. Offline capabilities allow practices to have access to critical information in the event they loose connectivity to their Electronic Health Record.
Payment Portal
SequelMed’ Payment Portal grants Billing companies the ability to adopt a go-green initiative and refer patients online to make their patients via a credit or debit card. The Payment Portal is integrated with the Electronic Practice Management and will automatically post payments on the patients account. In addition to making an online payment through the Portal, patients can also request to have a patient portal account setup which will give them access to all previous statements and their online payment history.
A study conducted by Sequel Systems, Inc. showed that on average, a practice spends $500 to $1,000 per month on statements and a billing company on spends $7,000 to $10,000 on average per month. SequelMed’s Payment Portal was designed to help diminish those costs associated with medical billing. Practices can offer their patients the option to enroll in the payment portal, make online payments directly to their designated account in turn making the process convenient and affordable.
